Managed IT for new federal contractors

You formed the
company last week.
Let us set up the IT.

Email on your own domain, licenses, security, backup, a business phone number. One package, one monthly price, one person accountable for all of it. There is nothing to compare and no options to evaluate — the choices have already been made by someone who did this himself last year.

The package

One package. Everything a new firm needs.

One flat monthly price Quoted on the first call, in writing, before anything is built. Plus a one-time setup fee, also quoted on the call.
  • 01 Microsoft 365 The right tenant type and license for a federal-facing firm, set up and managed. Not the consumer version.
  • 02 Email on your domain Your name on your own domain, with the mail records configured so your messages actually arrive.
  • 03 Security Detection and response running on every machine, multi-factor sign-in enforced from day one.
  • 04 Backup Mail and files backed up on a schedule, with a restore we have tested rather than assumed.
  • 05 Phone numbers A business number and call routing, so your mobile number is not your company number.
  • 06 Support One person to call when something breaks. No ticket queue, no tier-one script.

No tiers, no add-on menu. Twelve-month agreement, thirty days' notice to leave. If your firm needs something unusual we'll say so on the call rather than bury it in a line item.

Your part

Here is everything you have to do.

You
  1. 01Tell us what the company does and who it sells to.
  2. 02Say yes to the plan and the price.
  3. 03Sign in once, on the day we hand it over.
That is the whole list. No vendors to compare, no license tiers to decode, no security tools to evaluate.

Decisions we make so you don’t

These are the questions people spend their first month googling at eleven at night. You will never have to answer one of them. We tell you what we chose and why, in plain language, once it is done.

  • “Do I need Business Basic, Standard or Premium?”We size it. You will not overpay.
  • “Is GCC required for my contract?”We read the clause and tell you.
  • “Which antivirus should I buy?”Already chosen. It is included.
  • “Do I need a Mac or a PC?”We tell you exactly what to buy.
  • “What is MFA and do I have to?”Yes. It is already on.
  • “Can I just use my Gmail for now?”No. This is why we exist.
Federal readiness

Built right the first time, before a prime asks.

If you are heading toward subcontracting work, the prime will eventually flow down compliance requirements — CMMC, the assessment regime the Department of Defense applies to contractors handling sensitive information, is the usual one. Most new firms first hear the term in an email asking whether they meet it.

We set the tenant up correctly on day one — the right tenant type, the right security baseline — so that when the question arrives you are answering it rather than starting over. Rebuilding a live tenant later is expensive and slow. Getting it right at formation costs far less than rebuilding later.

  • CMMCThe Defense Department assessment regime for contractors handling sensitive information. Primes flow it down; you inherit it.
  • GCCMicrosoft’s government community cloud. Some contracts require it, most don't. We tell you which you are before anything is built.
  • Tenant typeChosen once, at setup. Changing it later means rebuilding your email and files while running a business.
  • DocumentationWritten so that when a prime sends a security questionnaire, you have a starting point instead of a blank page.
Who runs it

I did this last year.

Twenty-five years in federal contracting, most of it on the government side. I formed this company last year while still in a senior government role, then left that role in August 2026 to run my own businesses full time. That meant standing up everything from nothing — entity, domain, email, licenses, security — while trying to do actual work. I know exactly which parts of that are worth your attention and which parts simply need to be handled.

Why the small firm

Most providers will not take a one-to-five person company — it does not pay under a fifty-seat delivery model. This firm is built for that size deliberately, not as an exception made reluctantly.

Not a federal contractor?

HFITS also runs private, non-US-hosted infrastructure, currently in pilot. Ask at inquiries@hudsonfloydit.com.

Who we work with

HFITS manages your IT and holds the relationship. Specialist work sits with named partners, and we name them — you should know who is behind the service you are buying.

  • Huntress Security detection & response Monitors your machines and escalates real threats to people who investigate them.
  • Licensing & platform Through our Microsoft distribution partner One bill, no vendor portal for you to manage.
  • Microsoft Underlying platform Email, files, identity and device management — the layer everything else sits on.

HFITS is a general IT management shop, not a cybersecurity company. Security detection and response is a partner discipline, and we would rather tell you that than imply otherwise.

How it starts

  1. Step 1A callYou describe the business; we ask about contracts, clearances and who you sell to. No charge, no obligation to continue.
  2. Step 2A written planWhat we would build and what it costs, in plain language, on two pages. Not a proposal deck.
  3. Step 3We build itYou are not involved beyond signing in once at the end. You own the accounts and the domain from the moment they exist.
  4. Step 4We run itFlat monthly. Support when something breaks, patches you never think about, and one person who knows your setup.

Nothing is charged until the build is scoped and priced in writing.

Start clean

Call before you
set anything up.

The best week to do this is the week you form the entity, when there is no personal Gmail to migrate and no consumer Microsoft account tangled into your domain. Untangling that later is the most avoidable bill in this business.

Come with no idea what you need. That is the normal starting point. Tell us what the company does and who it sells to; we will tell you what you are getting and what it costs.
